For this single vineyard Malbec, we sourced grapes from the award winning Bon Niche Vineyard, located in the Estrella District of the Paso Robles AVA. Bon Niche consistently produces top quality fruit but the 2013 harvest was exceptional. The wine was aged for 20 months in both new French oak and neutral American barrels.
Like a well kept secret, Espionage is deep, dark and intriguing. Lush blueberry and black cherry flavors mingle with coffee notes and hints of eucalyptus and cedar. We certainly expect that the wine will improve with further time in the bottle but this sumptuous beauty is ready to drink now – a secret just too good to keep.
